
Week 5 – Lesson 2: Mindful eating

Today we are looking at eating mindfully particularly during the working day
Why is this important?
I meet a lot of people in my clinic who eat on the run, for a variety of reasons. Many of them take a type of indigestion medication called Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) such as Nexium. PPIs reduce stomach acid, the side effect of which is to reduce absorption of nutrients. Your hormones and sperm health are highly dependent on nutrients, so eating mindfully is important as it improves nutrient absorption.

- Consider your eating habits in relation to the Mindful eating guidelines
- Is there room for improvement?
- What can you change and when will you do it?
